Belt drive gone on a Scania, Volvo or MAN? You need a genuine part and the right number. Scantruck Engineering Pte Ltd, Singapore is an authorised Dayco distributor in Singapore. We supply genuine Dayco Poly-V belts, belt tensioners, idlers and rollers for European trucks and buses. Our range covers Scania, Volvo and MAN. Send us the OE number from the old part. We match the Dayco reference, then supply it from our Singapore parts counter or fit it at our workshop.

√

This guide is for fleets and heavy-vehicle workshops in Singapore and across ASEAN. It covers who Dayco is, what we hold for European trucks and buses, and how to order the right part the first time.

Who is the Dayco distributor in Singapore?

Dayco has appointed Scantruck Engineering Pte Ltd as an "Authorized Distributor for Singapore", the wording printed on the certificate. The appointment covers Singapore. [VERIFY: certificate date, validity and postcode with Dayco Singapore before publishing]

What this means for you:

  • Genuine Dayco parts. You buy from an authorised source, not the grey market. Poor-quality belts and bearings fail early, and your fleet pays in downtime and repeat labour.

  • One counter for the whole belt drive. Belt, tensioner, idler and roller come from one supplier, matched to the same engine. One call, not four suppliers.

  • People who fit these parts. Our workshop at 16 Gul Drive, Singapore 629424 services European trucks and buses. The parts counter is at 9 Buroh Street, Singapore 627569.

Outside Singapore? We welcome enquiries from fleets and workshops across ASEAN. Send us your OE number, and we will tell you what we can supply.

What is Dayco known for?

Dayco is a power-transmission specialist. It does not make engines or gearboxes. It makes the parts that drive an engine's accessories: the alternator, the water pump, the air-con compressor and the fan. When that drive fails, all four stop at once.

For European trucks and buses, the key Dayco parts sit on the auxiliary (accessory) belt drive. These five tensioners and pulleys cover Scania and Volvo FH/FM. For MAN city buses, see the belts below the table.

A note on names: APV1121 is an idler and APV3064 is a roller. Neither is a tensioner. Some older listings, including some of ours, call them tensioners. That is wrong, and we are correcting it.

Why replace the belt, tensioner and idler together?

On a Scania engine, the tensioner, the idler, the roller and the belt make one matched set. They run on the same belt path for the same hours. Dayco recommends checking all the parts of the accessory drive together and replacing them where needed. It offers heavy-duty kits for exactly this reason.

Here is why it matters:

  • A worn tensioner or idler bearing can destroy a new belt quickly. You pay for the labour twice.

  • A failed accessory drive stops the alternator, water pump and air-con at once. The truck is off the road, or the bus misses its schedule.

  • Singapore heat and stop-start traffic speed up belt and bearing wear. Dayco's heavy-duty Poly-V belts are made of EPDM and rated to 130 °C for this kind of duty.

So when you change a belt, ask us for the tensioner, idler and roller on the same engine. It is one job, done once.

How do you order the right Dayco part from Scantruck?

Most buyers search by OE number. A wrong part costs you days. Here is the quickest way to get it right:

  1. Find the OE number on the old part or in your parts system (for example Scania 1870553 or Volvo 20935521).

  2. Send it to us by WhatsApp or email, with the chassis number if you have it.

  3. We match the Dayco reference and confirm fitment before we supply.

  4. Collect, receive, or book fitting. Pick up at 9 Buroh Street, Singapore 627569, or book the job at our workshop at 16 Gul Drive, Singapore 629424.
